Niger Resilience Study
In 2012, the Sahel faced a severe food security crisis for the fourth time within a decade. Poor rains, rising food process and internal displacement caused by insecurity has placed almost 12 million people at risk for hunger.
In May and June of 2012, CRS partnered with TANGO International to evaluate the severity of the situation and assess the efficacy of past projects on household resilience in the face of potential crisis. This paper outlines the methodology, results, and recommendations from this research.
